could these roles be?

in others’ lives. They inspire you because they have achieved something special
in the field that also interests you.

that lead him/her to become successful in performing his/her role in life?
Task 4: Effective? Partially… Ineffective?
Performing the roles in our lives will help us develop
our skills and our environment. There are effective and ineffective roles in
life, as well as something in between. List down these methods in the table

Task 5: Looking Back
·
Your life is a continuous journey. Your
present plan has something to do with your experiences and what you will do in
the future
Task 6: Focus Questions
As a teenager, being a student is
my role in life, the knowledge I can gain will prepare me for the future. My
attitude maintained in the past and improved today will determine who I am, as
a person and a citizen.
The role of being a student is
important in making a difference in your own life and on everyone’s life. The
more you learn about your role and applying it in real life will shape your
attitude, knowledge, and future.
Task 7: What I expect/ need/ learn
To enhance yourself is to improve
your attitude first. I learned that your roles are important in life, as you
learn through experience, achievements, and even failures; you become better in
making good decisions, and could make a difference in your life in the future.
Task 8: Ten Minutes IMAGE Talk
Although it is never stated in
pictures or reading passages, you, as a reader can infer thoughts, intentions,
and feelings on the details presented. To a picture, you could focus on lines,
objects, shapes, and angles and relate them to real life experiences to
understand its message and meaning. By reading passages, you should focus on
what passage is about, so you could infer its meaning.
Task 9: For Significant Human Experiences
Reading a poem paves the way to
making meaning in life. It allows you to share certain meaningful experiences
that you find in common in the poem. This is when you think back and recall a
time when you have much in common with the same experience than what you
originally thought. The poem speaks to you as you explore the human condition.

Lesson 2: Maximizing the strength
Maximizing means “making
the best use of” and this is what you should do with your strength. This
happens when you focus on the areas where you are most skilled, talented, and
strong while avoiding your weaknesses.
Task 1: Hit
the hints
Study the
following photos; do you know the characters in the pictures? List down common
traits of the characters in the collage.
- - You will notice that each character in the picture has accomplished heroic achievements through progress and development of their own strength and character.
- - Each of them started out simple, as their story goes on, they thrived to evolve and develop to be more than what they currently are.
Task 2: Say
That Again
Rewriting
from songs, poems, and other articles is called paraphrasing. Paraphrasing
involves taking a set of facts or opinions and rewording them. When
paraphrasing, it is important to keep the original meaning and to present it in
a new form. Basically, you are simply writing something in your own words that
expresses the original idea.
Task 3:
Attach those words
Beowulf is admired for the richness of its poetry. About a
third of the words in Beowulf are words known as Kennings. Kennings combine two
words to create an evocative and imaginative alternative word.

Lesson 3: Leaving a Legacy
A life well lived cannot be easily forgotten. Not, when you
have left a mark so noteworthy that enables people to make a difference not
only in their lives but more so in the lives of others. How would you like to
be remembered? What legacy would you like to leave behind?
Task 1: The
H.O.M.E(Harmony of Man and Environment)
The video H.O.M.E shows the effects of climate change and
the destruction of the environment, but it also shows that we can stop the
destruction by helping the environment through planting trees stopping
pollution and clean the surroundings and prevent any other illegal activities
that would destroy nature.
Task 2:
There is a picture of a fallen chunk of ice with the saying
“Climate change doesn’t just hurt icebergs”. This shows that climate change
affects everyone and everything.
Task 3: Lend an Ear
Watch the video again and take note of some ideas presented
below. Indicate whether you agree or disagree.
The hand that can destroy is also the same hand that can help.
|
Agree, this world is changing, with the rise of technology we now
have the ability to take large amounts of resources and improve our own
lives. Our cars, our phones, and our books, all made of metal and wood taken
from our environment. Because of this, we developed, but also we are
destroying the natural world.
But these negative ways can be abandoned and we can use our minds and
our technology to help the environment. We could clean rivers, we could plant
trees, and we could even build eco-friendly objects. Our world is changing
but we can change it for the better.
|
Task 4: In a Capsule
The idea of the video
that “the hand that can destroy is also the same hand that can help” means that
it is our choice whether we could fix the environment or we continue our
negative ways and neglect nature. The negative ways do not just harm other
forms of life but also our own. This proves that “Climate change doesn’t just
hurt icebergs”. We have only one chance to live this one life and change our
negative habits into a positive and progressive one by using our minds and our
technology to help the environment. We could clean rivers, we could plant
trees, and we could even build eco-friendly objects. The idea of H.O.M.E is
that bad choices lead to destruction and good choices lead to progress. Our
world is changing but we can change it for the better.

Lesson 4: Coping with
Challenges
Normally you hear from people
who care say, “Don’t be your own roadblock to success!” This is the challenge
you need to attend to amidst difficulties and sufferings you may experience.
This simply means you need to be aware of, face, and then remove the setbacks,
burdens and difficulties, which at time upset you. To fear them is alright
but you have to face these fears and live with them courageously. They are
parts of the games you have to play to make your life better. It is always in
your hands for you to start making the most out of these challenges.
Accept that this challenge is
happening. Many people will dismiss challenges that come before them. They
will convince themselves that the problem is smaller than it really is or
that it does not exist in the first place. You need to recognize when you
start thinking this way because it is true what they say: the first step in
overcoming a problem is admitting that you have one. This is not a fun part
of the equation. Accepting that this challenge is real and that you are going
to have to deal with it can be scary. If you are scared of what this
challenge can mean for you, just remember: so far, in life, you have met
every challenge that has come before you and made it out okay. There is no
reason to think that this is any different.

Task 4
Every of us have all the chances to challenges in life. The best way to cope with is to face it, for facing such challenges teaches us to be strong and to determine our weaknesses. Even if how many times we fail, as long as we learn from all of it, it goes with the saying that life is not about finding ourselves instead it is about creating ourselves.
Task 5: what to Expect /Need/Hope/Learn
Simple as , USE THIS CHALLENGES AS OPPORTUNITIES. I mean turning it to a positive one instead of accepting it as a negative thing . Well , challenges are there just to test us, it is you who'll gonna decide if youll let this challenges drag you down or youll surpass all of them.
Assess the relevance and worth of ideas presented in the material viewed
Use synonyms of words to clarify meanings
Use contradictions proficiently
Use effective ways of coping with challenges to enhance oneself
Explain how the tone of the poem helps clarify its meaning
Task 6: Why not?
Pair up and reflect on the following quotations.
• Don’t let challenges stop you to take your best future.”
o - Anonymous-“
• “When virtue is in presence, all subordinate powers sleep.”
o Ralph Waldo Emerson
It takes determination and confidence in a certain person to give them the energy to do a certain thing. To be able to bend and adjust no matter how hard the problem is...
It means that someone does things that exhibit goodness and morality; no one can state reasons to stop him because what is right and morally good, is all above powers.
Task 7: BE THE BEST YOU CAN BE
An Extended Metaphor is a feature of a lyric poem that presents comparison over several lines throughout the poem. Remember that a lyric poem is a highly musical verse of the observations and feelings of a single speaker.
